Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) continues to actively carry out its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme Sesama Mara by sharing the joy of Christmas celebrations with the underprivileged children under the care of Victory Children and Youth Home in Taman OUG, Jalan Klang Lama and Rumah K.I.D.S in USJ, Subang.
Through this programme, Air Selangor has donated daily necessities such as groceries, food and household items to the Victory Children and Youth Home, and Rumah K.I.D.S. The children under the care of these shelters also received presents from Air Selangor in conjunction with the Christmas celebration this upcoming Friday.
This contribution is hoped to help the shelters in safeguarding the welfare of the underprivileged, especially in celebrating Christmas in these difficult times during the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the same time, Air Selangor is also working with Komuniti Tukang Jahit (KTJ) to help B40 women with sewing skills to produce face masks to be distributed to all Air Selangor employees. A total of 5,000 face masks have been ordered with KTJ which directly provides additional income to the community affected by this COVID-19 pandemic situation. Air Selangor is also working with KL Sketch Nation art organization to produce the face mask design.
The Air Selangor Sesama Mara programme consists of grassroots initiatives that aims to help the surrounding community as well as strengthen Air Selangor’s relationship with stakeholders from various walks of life such as the local community, resident associations, local authorities and NGOs.
