Kuala Lumpur – In sharing the joy of Christmas, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, Sesama Mara extended donations to three (3) charity homes.
Through this programme, Air Selangor has donated necessities such as kitchen items, food, and household essentials as well as plumbing assistance to three (3) orphanage homes in Selangor, namely the Lighthouse Children Welfare Home Association, Praise Emmanuel Children’s Home and Overcomer Care Centre.
Aside from providing assistance and visiting all the charity homes involved, a team of Hydro Heroes’ volunteers consisting of 17 Air Selangor employees also took part in cleaning the premises of the Lighthouse Children Welfare Home Association, and organised fun activities with the children.
Under Sesama Mara programme, Air Selangor has distributed its Box of Hope, consisting of essentials food items to the underprivileged. To date, a total of 4,975 Box of Hope boxes has been distributed to B40 families around Selangor and Kuala Lumpur since this initiative was introduced on 30 June 2020.
Air Selangor hopes the assistance that has been distributed will be able to bring joy while also strengthen the relationships among various segments of society, such as the local community, residents’ associations, local authorities and non-governmental organisations.
The Box of Hope contributions in the form of physical purchases can be made at five (5) Box of Hope locations within Village Grocer outlets. These locations are Tamarind Square Cyberjaya, MyTOWN Shopping Centre Cheras, 1 Mont Kiara, Central i-City Shah Alam, and Melawati Mall Ampang. In addition, Air Selangor has also introduced the digital version of the Box of Hope initiative, allowing the public to make digital contributions through the website www.airselangor.com/boxofhope/.
