Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform on the latest update regarding the status of water supply recovery due to the reduction in treated water production at the Rantau Panjang Water Treatment Plant, Sungai Selangor Phase 1 (SSP1), Sungai Selangor Phase 2 (SSP2), and Sungai Selangor Phase 3 (SSP3) treatment plants, following high turbidity of raw water due to the water surge early Saturday morning, 12 August 2023.
As of 6:00 pm, the percentage of water supply recovery in the affected areas for Klang Region is 73.9%. Please refer to Appendix A for the list of areas that have not yet recovered. The full recovery time for the remaining areas in Klang Region is expected to be at 12:00 am, 15 August 2023 (Tuesday).
Air Selangor would like to advise consumers who have and will receive water supply to let the tap runs until the water is clear before using it for daily consumption. Air Selangor hopes that consumers who have received water supply will use water prudently to ensure that the recovery process in the still affected areas runs smoothly as scheduled.
The water supply recovery period differs from one area to another according to the location and distance of consumers’ premises. Consumers can also view the list of affected areas via https://hentitugas.airselangor.com/ and the Air Selangor application.
Consumers can also obtain information on this unscheduled water supply disruption from time to time through our official communication channels such as the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or call Air Selangor’s Call Centre at 15300.
