Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform the Sungai Selisek Water Treatment Plant (LRA) had to be shut down at 5:40 p.m. today due to the rising water to a critical level at the WTP’s inlet following the continuous rain today.
Therefore, eight (8) areas in Hulu Selangor Region are expected to experience unscheduled water disruption, involving Kampung Sungai Nilam / Kampung Seri Pagi, Kampung Lalang, Rumah Murah PKT 2 Sungai Selisek, Kampung Serigala, Kampung Orang Asli, Kampung Bahom, Kampung Sekolah/ Clinic Quarters and Kampung Gesir Tengah.
At the moment, Air Selangor could not ascertain the expected time for the Sungai Selisek WTP to resume operation as the rain has yet to stop and the water is still at a critical level. Air Selangor also needs to ensure that all equipment at the WTP is in good condition and can be operated without compromising the safety of Air Selangor employees, especially where electrical currents are concerned.
