SUNGAI SELISEK WATER TREATMENT PLANT HAS RESUMED OPERATIONS

Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform that the Sungai Selisik Water Treatment Plant (WTP) has started operations following the shutdown due to the flood incident at 5:40 pm, 3 January 2021. As of 7:00 am this morning, the river level has receded, which has allowed the WTP to operate again.

 

As previously informed, eight (8) areas in Hulu Selangor Region have experienced unscheduled water supply disruption involving Kampung Sungai Nilam / Kampung Seri Pagi, Kampung Lalang, Rumah Murah PKT 2 Sungai Selisek, Kampung Serigala, Kampung Orang Asli, Kampung Bahom, Kampung Sekolah / Kuarters Klinik and Kampung Gesir Tengah.

 

Air Selangor is working to stabilise the water supply system. Affected consumers are expected to start receiving water supply at 10.00 am this morning in stages according to the distance and location of consumer premises. Full restoration of water supply in the eight (8) affected areas is expected on 5 January 2021, at 7.00 am.

 

Air Selangor has mobilised tanker trucks to deliver water assistance to the affected consumers.
