STATUS UPDATE ON THE WATER SUPPLY RECOVERY IN THE KUALA LUMPUR AND GOMBAK REGIONS

7 April 2021, 7:00 am

Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform on the status of the scheduled water disruption in the Kuala Lumpur and Gombak Region following the valve replacement works at the raw water pipeline from the Klang Gates Dam which caused a temporary shut down at the Bukit Nanas and Wangsa Maju Water Treatment Plant on 6 April 2021.

As at 6:00 am today, Air Selangor is in the process of stabilising the water supply distribution system. As a result, there are still no areas in Kuala Lumpur and Gombak Region that have fully recovered.

The duration of the disruption and the water supply recovery of the affected areas differ according to the water supply quantity, the distance of consumers’ premises and the water pressure at the distribution system.

Air Selangor will continue to update the status of the water supply recovery from time to time through all of Air Selangor’s official communication channels including our website at www.airselangor.com, Air Selangor app, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, or contact Air Selangor’s Contact Centre at 15300.
