Latest Update on the Water Supply Recovery Following the Temporary Shutdown at Labohan Dagang Water Treatment Plant (Labohan Dagang WTP) Due to Power Supply Disruption Incident

Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform on the latest update of recovery status following the temporary shutdown of Labohan Dagang Water Treatment Plant (Labohan Dagang WTP) caused by a power supply disruption due to emergency repair works on electrical equipment at the Olak Lempit Main Substation by TNB.

Water supply has commenced distribution in stages to consumers’ premises. As of 12:00 pm, the recovery status of the water supply in the affected areas has reached 31.7%. The breakdown of the expected time and percentage of water supply recovery in the affected areas is as follows:

The duration of water supply recovery period differs depending on the location of the consumer’s premises and the water pressure at the distribution system.

Air Selangor will continue to mobilise water tankers to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics and dialysis centres and funerals during the unscheduled water supply disruption.
