Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform that the emergency repair works for the burst pipe incident in Persiaran Perusahaan, Seksyen 23, Shah Alam has been completed at 6:00 am, 24 September 2021. Following this, the water supply in the six (6) areas affected by the unscheduled water disruption has been distributed in stages from 6:15 am today.
Air Selangor is working to stabilise the water supply distribution system. As such, the duration of the water supply recovery of the affected areas differs from one area to another depending on the location and distance of consumers’ premises. Water supply in the six (6) affected areas is expected to fully recover at 12:00 pm, 24 September 2021.
Alternative water supply assistance through water tankers will continue to be mobilised in the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, dialysis centres and funerals. Consumers are required to adhere to physical distancing and to wear face masks while collecting water supply from the water tankers.
Air Selangor would like to advise consumers who have and will receive their water supply to let the tap runs until the water is clear before using it for daily consumption. Air Selangor hopes that consumers who have received water supply will use their water prudently to ensure that the recovery process in the other affected areas runs smoothly as scheduled.
Consumers can refer to all our official communication channels, namely the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or contact the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300.
