Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to update on the recovery status of the scheduled water disruption in the Kuala Lumpur and Gombak regions. This follows the valve replacement works at the raw water pipeline from the Klang Gates Dam which caused a temporary shut down at the Bukit Nanas and Wangsa Maju Water Treatment Plants on 6 April 2021.
As at 6:00 pm today, a total of 97% which is equivalent to 56 areas, out of 58 areas have received full water supply. Water supply for the affected consumers in Gombak region has fully recovered. Meanwhile, a total of 2 areas in the Kuala Lumpur region that have not fully recovered are Bukit Bandaraya and Taman Bandaraya.
The percentage of areas that have recovered by regions is as follows:
|REGION||AREA RECOVERY STATUS
The duration of the disruption and the water supply recovery of the affected areas differ according to the distance of consumers’ premises and the water pressure at the distribution system.
Air Selangor hopes that the consumers who have received their water supply will use water prudently to allow recovery process in the other affected areas to run smoothly as scheduled.
Air Selangor will continue to update the status of the water supply recovery in the affected areas from time to time through all of Air Selangor’s official communication channels including our website at www.airselangor.com, Air Selangor application, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, or contact Air Selangor’s Contact Centre at 15300.
