Status of Water Supply Recovery Due to Reduction in the Treated Water Production at Rantau Panjang Water Treatment Plant, Sungai Selangor Phase 1 (SSP1), Sungai Selangor Phase 2 (SSP2), and Sungai Selangor Phase 3 (SSP3) Following High Raw Water Turbidity Due To Water Surge

Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform on the latest update regarding the status of water supply recovery due to the reduction in treated water production at the Rantau Panjang Water Treatment Plant, Sungai Selangor Phase 1 (SSP1), Sungai Selangor Phase 2 (SSP2), and Sungai Selangor Phase 3 (SSP3) treatment plants, following high turbidity of raw water due to the water surge.

As of 8:30 am, all Rantau Panjang Water Treatment Plant, SSP1, SSP2, and SSP3 water treatment plants have been operating at full capacity, and treated water production has returned to normal levels. Users will gradually receive water supply in stages as the water distribution system stabilises.

Water supply will commenced its distribution to consumers in stages starting from 12:00 pm, 13 August 2023, after the water supply system has been stabilised. Water supply is expected to fully recover according to the groups as shown in the following schedule:

The water supply recovery period differs from one area to another according to the location and distance of consumers’ premises. Consumers can also view the list of affected areas via https://hentitugas.airselangor.com/ and the Air Selangor application.

Air Selangor will continue to mobilise water tankers to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funerals during the unscheduled water supply disruption.

Consumers can also obtain information on this unscheduled water supply disruption from time to time through our official communication channels such as the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or call Air Selangor’s Call Centre at 15300.
