Kuala Lumpur – In the spirit of giving in the month of Ramadan and helping those in need, Air Selangor extended our assistance to the underprivileged communities for two consecutive days from 6 to 7 May 2021. This is part of Air Selangor’s Sesama Mara Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme in attending and spreading joy to the selected communities for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri which will be celebrated soon.
Through this programme, four welfare homes namely Asrama Baitul Rahmaniah, Pusat Jagaan Titian OKU Nur, Rumah Teduhan Kasih Bukit Beruntung, and Rumah Amal Raudhatul Jannah with a total of 250 beneficiaries including the senior citizens, the differently-abled individuals, children, and former drug addicts; have received donations comprising of essential food items, household items, tools for recreational activities as well as Hari Raya clothing.
In addition, Air Selangor also distributed 100 Box of Hope’s boxes filled with essential food items such as rice, oil, sugar, dry goods and flour to families around Kuala Langat and Hulu Selangor. This donation is distributed to the B40 community by Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia.
Air Selangor hopes that this noble effort can ease the burden faced by these welfare homes to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri, especially in the challenging situation of the COVID-19 pandemic.
