2019 Report
Laboratory Excellence Awards 2019

Air Selangor received the Industri Kimia Malaysia (IKM) Laboratory Excellence Award in 2019 for its SSP2, Sg Labu and Sg Semenyih laboratories. The award signifies the laboratory’s commitment to achieving excellence in providing quality and competent testing services pertaining to local legislation especially in the fields of health, safety, and the environment.


ISO Certification for Clean Water

ISO 9001 (QMS) Certification

Sg Sireh & Semenyih 2 Water Treatment Plants (WTP) received the Quality Management System ISO 9001 certification


ISO 22301 (BCMS) Certification

Four of Air Selangor’s WTP namely the North Hummock, Wangsa Maju, Sg Gombak & Salak Tinggi received the Business Continuity Management System ISO 22301 certification.

 
 
2018 Report
National Occupational Safety and Health Excellence Award 2018

Air Selangor, through the Gombak region, was awarded The National Occupational Safety & Health Excellence Award awarded by the National Council of Occupational Safety & Health under the water industry sector.


Silver Laboratory Excellence Award 2018 

Sungai Semenyih WTP laboratory received Silver Award after successfully maintaining the Institute Kimia Malaysia Laboratory Excellence Award for 10 consecutive years, making Semenyih WTP Laboratory the first WTP laboratory in the country to receive the award having fulfilled all legislative requirements in the field of health, safety and the environment.


ISO 9001 (QMS) Certification 

All Water Treatment Plants (WTP) with the exception of Sg Sireh WTP acquired the ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) certification. The certification assures customers that constant improvement is being undertaken to ensure delivery of better performance.


ISO 22301 (BCMS) Certification 

The Sungai Labu and Sungai Selangor Phase 2 WTP acquired the ISO BCMS 22301 (Business Continuity Management System) certification which provides a framework for the WTPs to plan, establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain and continually improve a Business Continuity Management System.


ISO 17025 (Laboratory Accreditation) Certification 

Sungai Selangor Phase 2 WTP Laboratory acquired ISO 17025 (Laboratory Accreditation) certification having put in place standards and processes for calibration and testing, allowing the laboratory to be technically proficient in producing precise and accurate test as well as calibration


ISO 18001 (OHSAS) Certification 

Sungai Selangor Phase 2 WTP acquired the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Certification which provides a framework to identify, control and decrease the risks associated with health and safety within the workplace.


ISO 14001 (EMS) Certification 

Sungai Selangor Phase 2 WTP acquired the ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) certification in line with our ambition to minimise adverse effects to the environment. The certification is testament that compliance to regulations, policies and environmentally oriented requirements are met.


Overall Champion Fire Emergency Response Team Competition, Putrajaya Level 2018 

The Southern Region emerged champion at the Fire Emergency Response Team Competition, Putrajaya Level 2018 Competition, organised by the Putrajaya Fire and Rescue Department.
